in their road games against teams outside the state of Indiana, their average margin of defeat is 26 points

thus, they don't dunk well and we should dominate their big men. we are good passers, but their guards have impressive wing spans, so that could play a major factor

they have a Rivals 2* coming in next year. i don't know what to make of that

WCU lives off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against us.

They don't shoot threes at all. That's our main weakness defensively.

Defensively they are horrid.

They are hopelessly short and have zero depth.

I like NC State vs the spread. This has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 15 point spread.

They played Purdue close and Kent State relatively close.

They are horrible offensively but since we don't try to defend anyone I'm sure they won't have any trouble scoring anyway. They are careless with the ball, but we haven't created any turnovers this year.

They suck at rebounding that will probably be how we win the game just like last night.

They have no depth and are one of the smallest teams in the country.

This has to be a 20+ point win for god's sake. We have got to get this season on track.

Right now, we're not close.

And we are way better offensively than anyone could have possibly expected. That's what makes this so frustrating.

Maybe you guys don't have any friends and didn't get 10 text messages from UNC fans saying "Don't worry Campbell is really good this year" but I'm sick of us sucking at basketball.

This year was supposed to be a building block for next year's stacked team. If we're this bad this year, then we may not be a top 25 team next year either. That's unacceptable.

If we can't play well with this talent then there's no reason to think we can play well with other talent.

We need to at least meet expectations this season if we don't care to exceed them.

Brown and Leslie are really the only HUGE recruits on our team. (guys everyone wanted, save maybe 1 or 2 teams) And neither one have been a bust. Guys like Howell and Painter had offers from schools on our level like GTech, UGA, etc... (I know Painter decommitted from UF, but it wasn't a situation where they were heartbroken)

Next year we'll be stacked with "super" recruits.

There were quite a few Campbell fans, but I thought the crowd was pretty electric. Pretty much all the half-court seats were taken more than an hour before tip-off. And towards the end, the entire coliseum was rocking the "WOLF"/"PACK" chant pretty loud, in response to Campbell trying to get their own chant going. Gotta give it to the Campbell fans though, they represented well.

showing your ID alone will not get you into a game free but you "need" it when you do get a student ticket, which are available at tickets.ncsu.edu where you login with your unity ID and password, which is the last four digits of your student ID and the month and date of your birthday. 8 digits total. You can get a student ID off Dan Allen in the Dunn building I believe. Small building at the light on Dan Allen beside Bragaw dorm.

Don't forget rebounding being 10x times better. Gottfried has spelled this out pretty simply multiple times. This is not a team that he feels can exert effective ball pressure on opposing teams (likely because all of our starters are between 6'5" and 6'8") and because of that he is concentrating on just not giving up open looks. On paper this team should be an effective zone team which is why Gottfried is trying so hard to implement an effective one.

I think it's reasonable to expect our talent to at least be average on defense, which it is not. Average means in the middle of the pack out of the 300+ teams that play NCAA basketball.

Do you all really believe that our talent is so bad, we should be worse at defending the 3 than almost every team in college basketball, which includes programs that are just happy to even have a basketball program?

It's great that we are above average on offense, but you can't play offense in isolation from defense, defense produces easy points, and defense keeps you in the games when you are slumping.

This is the number one reason why we play down to the level of our opponent and never show a killer instinct.

Just being average on defense is a reasonable expectation. Being above average on defense next year is also a reasonable expectation. As it stands right now, Gott has to produce an incredible jump in performance on defense to meet those expectations.
