I told people this 4 years ago but people decided to ignore basic things like statistics and take the word from random people like internet bloggers, "scouts" (seriously how hard is it to hold a radar gun and look at a box score while you get hammered?", media, etc.

Wilson has never been any good at baseball. His HS numbers were shit, his college numbers were so bad he couldnt even stick in the lineup at a marginal program, and his pro numbers were so bad that he couldnt even compete at offseason camps that are below single A baseball.

Statistics matter. Opinions never do.

I thought baseball people didn't even start attempting to think rationally until about 10 years ago. The financial industry only started about 30 years ago.

I need to watch a player in person to see if the CF who hits .500 with 17 HR and a 1.500 OPS is better than the RF who hits .340 with 2 HR and a .847 OPS.


Also I need to see him in warmups to see how quickly he sprints out of the dugout to RF in between innings
