I need a large metal box (about 12x12x8) or so. I will be mounting some electronics in it, so if you have anything cheap that may fit the bill, let me know.

i see old cash boxes at thrift sores pretty regularly, usually for less than 5 bucks but they dont have keys. Cause for paws on S Saunders had a few when i was there last, but that was at least a month ago.

Are there any ammo cans about that size?

mcmaster.com has that sort of thing, but it's not cheap

thrift store or ammo can may be your best bet

Yeah, thought about ammo can, but it'd be hard to wire everything up in there since you can only access from the narrow "top".
