this doesn't seem like a bad idea.

people on here are generally mean and unwelcoming to new users, especially guys. if a guy had made this thread and not a girl, there would have been an overwhelmingly different (more negative) response. women just get harassed as soon as it is found that they are a girl and, God forbid, attractive. I actually just got a good friend of mine to sign up but I cautioned her not to use her unity as her username because she'd get harassed. it's a sad truth.

I really wish we'd embrace that this is a unique community and try to help each other out, rather than look for reasons to put people down - which can be as minute as a small grammatical error.
