STANDUP WEEK, February 1—4 | SKETCH WEEK, February 8—12 | IMPROV WEEK, February 14—19
Mike Birbiglia and Chris Gethard are headlining, and they are both fantastic. I'll be down for improv week, road-tripping with the performers from Boston. 1/28/2012 3:03:54 AM |

If anyone is interested in seeing shows but want suggestions of which ones to go to just let me know your comedic taste. I've seen most of these acts at different festivals and can help out. 1/29/2012 8:41:43 PM |

Really awesome shows going on this weekend, including Second City (where several of the most well known comedians in the country got their start...like Tina Fey, Steven Colbert, Jane Lynch just to name a few) 2/10/2012 9:32:46 AM |

also, a show that non improv nerds would find easily palatable would be Death by Roo Roo (http://www.nccomedyarts.com/show/profile/1369/death-by-roo-roo/)
highly recommended, every show i've ever seen them do has been phenomenal
okay, i'll leave bdmazur to handle the rest of the recommendations ] 2/10/2012 10:18:57 AM |

This is sketch week, so its much more of your SNL type stuff. Second City is in my opinion the must see show, but here's some other acts I've seen before and can vouch for:
Coach Crotchky - http://www.nccomedyarts.com/show/profile/1439/coach-crotchky/ (Anyone who ever had an over the top motivational-type coach or gym teacher will really appreciate this one)
Daft Agenda - http://www.nccomedyarts.com/show/profile/1357/daft-agenda/ (These folks are good friends of mine so I'm a little biased, but they have a very dark humor that they apply to the obscurity of modern pop culture) 2/10/2012 11:31:43 AM |
