Game 1: Youngstown State lost to Canisius 14-3 in Cary. Our starter should be Danny Healey

Game 2: Wright State lost to Monmouth 10-2 in Cary. Our starter should be Anthony Tzamtzis

I'd expect the same starting lineup with the exception of Brett Williams due to injury with Jake Fincher starting in center since Avent subbed him in yesterday.

It's not good to lose to "lesser" teams, but it shouldn't hurt us overall unless we rack up a few. UNC lost a game to Xavier, GT lost to Kent State, Clemson lost to UAB, and BC beat UVA. Random losses are just part of baseball and we have been playing a good number of our freshmen/JUCO transfers. The key here is how they react and come out today vs St. Joe's (weather permitting) and UNCW on Tuesday.

Lone mid-week game was a 10-0 victory over UNCW with all 10 runs coming the 8th.

After giving up a grand slam in the 1st, pitching settled down and the bats did their job. Pack beats George Mason 8-5.

After going 2-0 this past weekend against UNCA and UNCW in Wilmington, but missing 2 games due to weather and then beating Davidson 11-0 on Wednesday, baseball starts of ACC play with Georgia Tech. Game 1 is slated for 3pm today with Anthony Tzamtzis starting on the mound for State. Tech is ranked 9/10th in the nation and is 10-3.

State wins 8 to 3 today and takes the opening series 2 games to 1 over the Jackets. Great way to start conference play.

Freshman Logan Jernigan was a stud on the mound today. He had 9 k's and allowed no hits in 6 innings of work. It's nice to have two freshman throwing in the 90s.

Best part of the game aside from our performance was the crowd doing the tomahawk chop when news spread that FSU won and then the press box played the warchant music when announcing that FSU won

If was a WTF moment for the Tech fans in attendance.
