^^You mean Rock Barn outside Hickory in Conover?

Yes, it's 36-holes. Jones is super nice, Jackson is okay. Jones hosts a Senior Tour event.

I picked up one of those eagle ridge groupons, gonna go play in a couple weeks hopefully.

Playing the next three weekends at Pine Hollow, Eagle Ridge, and The Challenge at Hideaway Farms. I don't know why but the wife's not complaining.

Anybody pick up one of those frequent golfer program offers from Lonnie Poole? They seem pretty reasonable but its not practical enough for me since I live in Durham. If I was still in Raleigh and could swing by quickly to play then maybe.

shot 84 at Forest Oaks last Friday. hurt my wrist when i fell celebrating NC State's win over Georgetown, so i had to wear a brace. shot a 48 on the front, and a 36 on the back haha. 1st time ever shooting par on 9 holes.

went par-birdie-birdie to end it on 16-17-18!

courses in NC are gorgeous right now.

Attempting a Molinari while my friend acts as a windmill for my other friends putt. We might not be allowed back at Seven Lakes.

You wear sneakers on the course and you golf with females?

That is embarrassing.

I'm not sure that Molinari is the correct person you are thinking of w/ that spider putt reading...pretty sure that's Camilo Villegas...but I honestly haven't seen much of the Molinari brothers play besides a few majors every year so I dunno if they do that too

I love golfing with women. They are much better to look at than some middle aged fat dude, and I feel like Tiger Woods every time I out drive them.

I hope this is all happening on a public course...

My father's course already banned those heinous rubber sneaker cleats and they are thinking about banning belly putters. I hope they do.

Are you talking about soft spikes or something different?

Because soft spikes are basically the standard spike on every single course now and are proven to be better than metal spikes in almost every way. There might be a course here or there that still allow them but they are only still used by a few pros on tour. Metal spikes are allowed to be used during pro events.

And your dad was more than likely just fucking with you, because there is no way in hell any self respecting course is going to ban a type of club just because of the way it looks.

I doubt their reason for banning belly putters would be cause of how they look. There's lots of debate if belly putters should be legal on the PGA.

Personally I think they're a crutch for bad putters.

Yeah, but they are still allowed under the current USGA rules.

So, for a club to ban them would be fucking retarded.

Also, what clubs are legal or not, basically only matters for tournaments.

You are more than welcome to use any club you want as long as whoever you are playing with is ok with it.

I agree it's dumb for the club to ban something that's still PGA legal.

They are a big help.

MrLuvaLuva switched to one and is putting like I have never seen him before. We've been playing golf together for ~12 years, including high school and other tournaments.

I've used his a bit, although it's about 4 inches too short for me...it's pretty great. I just don't feel like dropping the coin on one atm.

for me the belly putter has just given me confidence...which is all you need in putting...I got so frustrated w/ the regular putter that going from one regular to another just wasn't going to do anything.

I'm sure I'll switch back to a regular at some point, but for now I am enjoying the belly. What's funny is that when I use the standard putter, I am better after using the belly. It helps w/ my rhythm so much.

I've putted just as bad w/ a belly as I have w/out it, but overall my confidence is better now than it was before.

Dropped a 78 today. Finally starting to get my game back after more or less an 8 year sabbatical.

I also have new clubs on the way.

Hybrid in place of 3 iron. These will be my first new clubs in 11 years.

I was going to get rifles but I checked out my trajectories on the monitor at golfsmith. I'm a half in long and 2 degrees upright, so I launch it rediculously high. I had a much better flight with x100s so I went with those, and I saved about 20 bucks per club too.

I've been hitting MP33s for years so I'm looking forward to having a bit of a cavity.

6,700 yards for a pro is a chip and putt. Still that's some serious scoring.
