So yesterday I dropped my phone in a creek while fishing and couldn't get to it. Good news is I'm due for an upgrade, so TWW what Android phones do you recommend? I've got Verizon and I'm looking for it to be <$200
I'm looking at the HTC Rezound now and that looks promising... Also, anyone know of any way to get coupons or discounts?

^What? That's one of my top internet pet peeves. I copy/paste/posted too quickly to think about stripping the url. FWIW, I'm sure it's just my zip code.
Can wirefly/amazon even afford to give referral credit? 3/21/2012 3:56:19 PM |

Alright, well I decided on the HTC Rezound on the following criteria: - incredible display (342 ppi) - 1.5 ghz duo-core processor (Snapdragon S3) - 1 gb RAM - 8 mp main camera, 2 mp front camera - 16 gb internal memory and included 16 gb micro sd card - runs Gingerbread, updating to Ice Cream Sandwich in the next coming months (HTC originally said March, but will probably be pushed back to May)
Samsung Galaxy Nexus - Super AMOLED display (316 ppi) - 1.2 ghz duo-core processor - 1 gb RAM - 5 mp main camera, 1.3 mp front camera - 16 gb internal memory, no sd slot - runs Ice Cream Sandwich
I'm pretty confidant I made the right choice... oh, and I got a pair of Beats headphones ahah. 3/21/2012 8:29:00 PM |

I'm partial to NFC. Google Wallet and Android Beam. I downgraded my HTC Evo3D to Nexus S 4G. I doubt the Rezound is a bad choice, but I don't think it was as cut and dry as the specs you mentioned.
Regardless, all that matters is that you're satisfied with your choice! 3/21/2012 9:08:45 PM |

^Regardless, the processor still has 2 cores... and I don't think you had any trouble trying to understand what I was trying to get across. 3/21/2012 11:43:48 PM |

=)
Regardless, the Rezound is a solid choice and it almost sounds like you had already made it, but just wanted affirmation from the hive mind. It's much better of a choice than renewing your contract for a .99c bargain bin device that barely runs gingerbread.

I'm not too worried about not having ICS though... I'll just let y'all have all the bugs first . Really though, the differences seem pretty minor and certainly not $100 worth IMO. The article has each on about an equal level...3/22/2012 3:57:05 AM |
