Not really bad for Andre. He wasn't going anywhere without PEDs, anyway, so might as well take the risk and see if he could ever make it.

i don't think i knew about TJ's dad

Quote :
"NC State's Graham preparing for NFL draft

Former NC State wide receiver T.J. Graham knows he can offer an NFL team one thing, speed.

"Speed, speed, speed. That's one thing you can't teach," said Graham. "A lot of guys in the NFL can't run as fast as I can. I'm not going to out-muscle anybody, but I will out-run you. I've been catching a lot of ball, too, because they say I can't catch."
Slideshow

So every day, Graham works on his hands at his old high school field at Wakefield, taking passes from former East Carolina quarterback Rob Kass. Projections are all over the map on where, or if, Graham will be drafted. He thinks at the very least, he can find a role returning kicks in the pros.

"I've improved my draft stock a lot. I can be a punt returner and kick returner that can save two roster spots and hopefully help out the team that way," said Graham.

Graham also does daily speed workouts with his father, Trevor Graham, the famous track coach whose alleged role in doping scandals led to his ban from Olympic track events.

"It was kind of rough growing up because a lot of kids teased me or whatever, but I've learned to appreciate that and have learned a lot from it," Graham said.

Trevor Graham declined to be a part of this story.

"The older I get, the closer we get," said Graham. "You just kind of have to get to know him."

At the NFL combine, Graham faced countless questions about his father's past.

"It was stressful in the sense that you have to keep answering it over and over and over again. If it was bad for my image, I wouldn't be around so I'm always around (Trevor)," said Graham.

In the meantime, Graham has tirelessly organized a football skills challenge for high school players that will be held at Wakefield High on Sunday, April 22.

"I've been spending my time setting that up for the last couple months instead of stressing out about all this draft stuff," Graham said."

that happens when you drop a lot of passes in your senior year, especially coming off a very good junior year. george was still good, but regressed as a dependable receiver.

he's a good enough football player where i think he'll at least have a 5-6 year career as either a 3rd stringer or practice squad guy, if he puts the work in, and the upside is a good bit higher than that

Bryan's problem was that he put on too much weight between his junior and senior years and it was not muscle. He got fat and slower and was not working as hard as someone with NFL aspirations should. Plus he had an awful East-West Shrine game workout and even though he got himself in shape by the NC State Pro Day, it was too late for some teams. I am surprised that TOB let him fuck up like this.

They upped the offseason rosters to 90 deep this year, so that is not likely. If it could happen it would be to us though.

true enough. the bet was that he would be on an active nfl roster in october 2009. he was on injured reserve though.

it wasn't a real bet though, packboozie just said "i got money that says you're wrong". i forgot that's how it went down until this morning when i went back and looked for it.

^^he was out for rookie minicamp this past weekend. apparently when he was moving, a knife protruding from a box slashed his leg. i wonder if it's akin to brandon marshall's story about slipping on a mcdonald's wrapper and falling through a television.

lol at that game when we first starting getting loud i looked for kuhn, expecting him to look around in awe, and sure enough he went over to someone else on the team and showed him his arm, presumably showing him goosebumps.

So I don't know if this belongs here, but I still consider Wilson a part of the pack:

Quote :
"4. Seattle Seahawks

Incumbent: Tarvaris Jackson
Challengers: Matt Flynn, Russell Wilson

This one remains very much up in the air, although Matt Flynn's the favorite after signing with the team in free agency this offseason. While Flynn is the most talented of the three players right now, he still has to learn the offense and gain a level of rapport with his receivers. Russell Wilson is basically an option in name only for Week 1, but the battle between Flynn and Jackson could linger all the way to the preseason. One thing worth noting: Jackson was a fantastic preseason quarterback in Minnesota, where he was 92-of-156 for 1,039 yards with seven touchdowns and no picks, but he was just 32-of-55 for 269 yards with a touchdown and two picks during Seattle's preseason last year."

[Edited on June 13, 2012 at 1:40 PM. Reason : Doesnt sound like he will get much of a chance to play]
