Yeah! Let's invite the government into my private life to tell me how many puppies I can own.

I get the intent; however, this proposed solution is an atrocity. The government is saying that not one human being is capable of properly caring for more than 3 dogs?

If you're sick and tired of this and want your liberty, vote ron paul.

Paul is more than okay with these laws existing as long as they aren't Federal, so the entire country could have 3-pet-max laws and he wouldn't do shit as long as the laws were on the books at the county level.

not really "big" government, but retarded nontheless.

what's really disturbing is that ~50% of people in the poll agree with some sort of government enforced pet limit.

Right, thanks for putting words into people's mouths. You dont' know shit about Ron Paul, so I'd like you to refrain making comments until you do.

Right, I'm sure pet owner rights are at the top of Paul's list of "Things to not leave to the States"

Sure Ron Paul wants state governments to have the ability to make laws for what's best for the people of the state on issues that's not part of the federal government's responsibility. But Ron Paul runs on Freedom, privacy, personal liberties and the minimum possible amount of government intervention into your life.

I can't produce a word strong enough to say how much Ron Paul would be against this proposal. You're not even in the same realm saying Ron Paul supports this legislation. It's insulting that you suggest this since it's clear that you have not watched a single Ron Paul speech or listen to one thing Ron Paul has said.

Ron Paul has nothing to do with pet laws in Fayettesville, period. This is the most pointless plug for Paul you've made yet.

Maybe you didn't know this, but in Pennsylvania there's a law against sleeping on refridgerators outdoors. Better make a thread for that one too!

Guys, Hitler rounded up Jews in trains and shipped them to death camps.

Vote Ron Paul or you're next!

Get this Ron Paul shit out of here. This is about stupid government telling law abiding people how many fucking pets they can own. What's next, how many yoohoos I can store in my fridge?

Pets are living creatures...Yoohoos are not.

Two or three is an arbitrary, ridiculous limit, though. It's not about the number--it's about whether or not they're being cared for properly.

This is a local and county government. You know what Ron Paul would say about this?

"The federal government has no right to this government they cannot do this."

But if local government is just as stupid as federal government then which one should we let have more power?

[Edited on April 3, 2012 at 3:32 PM. Reason : meant to say "no right to tell" but it's already quoted]

No, people should be able to own as many pets as they want.
28%
There should be restrictions in apartments but not homes.
5%
Other, I'll elaborate in the comments."

Why, just tell me why, do we have politicians drafting legislation that:
1. violates people's fundamental right to property and pursuit of happiness and
2. is not supported by popular opinion

Quote :
""The federal government has no right to this government they cannot do this.""

This is a problem with the Ron Paul movement.
