Apparently if I cut of my sausage, insert some breasts, and grow my hair long I can enter the Miss. Universe Canada pageant.

Does anyone else think this is rediculous. I do not see any issue with making pageant contestants required to be ""naturally born female."

Maybe if i identify as a golden retriever I can get some fur implants and go take part in the dog show.

If an anthropologist's looked at this person's skeleton 1000 years ago they would undoubtedly identify the body of a male. Not a male who identifies as a female and thus had surgery to make such apperance.

I think the point is: Who fucking cares if she enters?

This isn't some athletic tournament where she's going to have some unfair advantage because she is genetically a male.

Why does it matter to you, to anyone if a male-to-female transsexual enters the pageant? If anything, she's going to have an unfair disadvantage because people will be biased against her due to being genetically a male, not to mention she will have to overcome the genetic disadvantages being male poses to competing in beauty pageants, like wider shoulders and jaws.

Is it because it makes you feel gross? Because it makes you feel weird? Then congratulations, at least you've identified the source of your bigotry.

Maybe the bigots in this thread are ignorant of the difference between sex and gender. Sex is defined by your genetics/biology, while gender is defined by your psychological identity. And ultimately it's gender that's more important. If you feel more comfortable being a woman, if that's how you legitimately perceive yourself, then you are a woman, no matter what junk you were born with.

This woman's sex is male because she is genetically a male, but her gender is female. Being female is an inseparable part of her identity. Therefore, she is female. She is a she, and that's all the qualification she needs to compete in a beauty pageant.
