^^^^They cost nothing to produce, and enough people watch them to make them profitable. Plus, his movies employ people, and they appear to be fun and easy to make. There's really no downside except that they're kinda of embarrassing. And I know I'm stepping on a lot of toes here...but his movies have always been embarrassing. I will concede that some of his earlier dumbass comedies had a certain mount of heart that he seems to be missing these days.

But, if anything, Sandler has actually improved over time with more serious additions like Spanglish and Reign Over Me.

When he's still doing Jack and Jill and Just Go With It it's pretty ridiculous to say he's improved.

He was in Funny People which blatantly made fun of movies like Jack and Jill, and then went right back to it. I wouldn't call that self-fulfilling prophecy an improvement.

Doing one great movie and three arguably okay movies(none of which were Happy Madison Productions, by the way) does not cancel out what he's done after Funny People. Which is turn into a horrible caricature of himself. In That's My Boy his voice sounds like he is mocking earlier movies. Maybe it's a brilliant self-aware type of mocking. That would be nice but it's unlikely.

He improved momentarily by strangely taking some normal-movie roles outside of his production company. He was batshit amazing in Punch Drunk Love. But he has regressed. Any former semblance of improvement is no more. And the near-future outlook does not look good, with such titles as "Grown Ups 2."

Saw it last night.

You people can hate on Sandler all you want, but the shit was hilarious. Had the whole theater laughing it's ass off (except the an Indy film critic sitting in front of me...don't think he laughed once. He'll probably give it one star or something).

I will admit, I haven't been into any of Sandler's latest movies (though I liked Funny People somewhat), but this shit is straight up funny.

I have pretty much hated every single Sandler movie since HG except for Punch Drunk Love (which I dont even consider a "Sandler Movie" but this was fucking hilarious). REALLY damn funny.

Jack and Jill was literally the worst comedy I have ever seen, and then he goes and does this, good stuff.
