Does anyone know where to get reliability information for used cars? I've tried kbb with no luck. I've been driving my 97 accord for about 8 years and I think its getting close to its last leg after 236k miles. I'm thinking about a german car or cadillac, but after reading message boards and the like I'm kind of iffy since it looks like after about 4 years alot issues start to arise.

Consumer Reports, but you'll need a subscription. Or just go read their car guide in the bookstore.

Even Hondas and Toyotas are made in America by rednecks now, so they're all pretty much trash.

Buy a cheap, common car with no options, and at least you'll be able to find parts in a junkyard or just trash the thing in five years and get another.

Avoid german cars like the plague. Even the good ones cost a fortune to maintain.

Avoid cars with needless electronic gadgets. They're good for nothing but breaking after 5-8 years.
