there was a certain type that had some messed up on, that said like 1" x 1" etc...But holy cow, I didn't know mold grade aluminum could cost $270 sq foot...

I bought some from a dirt track racing store in Benson a few years back, but they're out of business now. Those cars are just roll cages with thin aluminum sheeting attached. Can't remember what I paid, but it wasn't ridiculous. Look for the store that supplies all the race cars from that circle track in Garner.

kyle - probably be better if you make contact with a local metal supplier... even with their mark-up from a distributor it's probably going to be 20% -30% lower cost per unit area than mcmaster.
