Watch VT get 5th place over the next 3 years. Beamer will be the new Greenberg.
6/26/2012 10:40:14 PM
watch it continue to leave out non-BCS schools.
6/26/2012 10:41:32 PM
so does this mean the winner gets an official ncaa trophy?
6/26/2012 10:41:51 PM
Winner doesn't get NCAA trophy as the championship is managed by the conferences.

Some how, some way, despite win-loss record or how weak a schedule is, unc will be voted in. And the game will be in chapel hell.

How are the current BCS games going to be semifinals? There are 4 BCS games = 8 teams..Only 2 of those games will be semifinals? Will they rotate each year?

of course the Big East is gonna get overlooked. For the love of all things holy, THIS is their conference:Louisville, Rutgers, Syracuse (gone by 2014), Pitt (gone by 2014), USF, UConn, Cincy

How does the ACC being a shitty conference make the Pac 12 not a shitty conference? For what it's worth, their championship game featured a team with a losing record.

looks like they'll be expanding to 12 teams, the top 6 ranked conference champs and then 6 at large bids, with the top 4 seeds getting 1st round byes (haha no first round bye for you notre dame). i'm all for it myself.[Edited on June 11, 2021 at 4:07 PM. Reason : still have to have a couple more years of 4 teams though until their contract is up]

I like it. Obviously because the rankings seem to be totally subjective, the committee can still tweak the rankings so that they get the matchups they want and leave out teams as they see fit (I’m doubtful Coastal would’ve been near the top 12 this past year for fear they might actually have to put Coastal in). But this helps solve the G5 situation. And creates an unlikely scenario where multiple G5 teams could get in. It also helps solve the issue of the same handful of teams being in the playoff every year. It makes more teams “relevant” and more games relevant. On the negative side, we keep adding games to the schedule without compensating the players.I’m also all for it because it increases the likelihood that we might one day make it.
