I've got a card like this one autographed by David Thompson. I got him to autograph it when he came to my middle school for a talk in '92. He didn't even know there were NC State cards. I told him I had the whole set.
Then in '99 I was standing outside Reynolds waiting to get into a game and I saw him walk out of one of the side doors, so I went over and got him to sign my SWPC shirt. While he was signing, a small crowd gathered, and one of the guys happened to be a short white guy that looked a few years older than the rest of us students. When I got my pen back from David, I thanked him and handed it to the short guy and asked him to sign it too. He did, and immediately left. A couple of kids asked me/David who that guy was and why I was getting him to sign my shirt. Before I could even say anything, Mr Thompson said "You kids need to know your NC State history. That was Chris Corchiani, one of the best point guards the ACC has ever had. At least this guy recognized him" ] 6/26/2012 7:40:27 PM |

^^^^ I played pickup ball in Wilmington a few months ago with Corch and his boys. No one recongnized him but me. We had a good conversation about him and Googs getting tossed and some other stuff. I was guarding him for 2 games, hes still got a quick first step. Real nice guy. 6/27/2012 4:21:03 PM |

I have that exact same signed photo on my wall (clearly not written to Keith). He came to my middle school to talk about "don't do drugs, I used to be badass and see what happened?" and such, gave out a handful of signed prints. That may have been when I decided to go to NCSU. 6/28/2012 10:37:16 AM |
