I mean, come one dude. Did they expect us to really take Top Gun seriously? Right off the bat, they're inverted, like 2 feet from a MiG? Oh, and it's a MiG 28? Everyone knows all MiGs are designated with odd numbers. It's clearly a goddamn F-5.

Oh and right after that Maverick somehow talks Cougar into a night time, carrier arrestment? Suuuuure. Also, he clearly got the wave-off lights during the approach! Come on, brah! Shit's weak. They wave you off for a reason. Dude should have flown straight into the fantail!

Chappy just hands over an F-16 to some kid? All right, he went a bit rogue. But his buddy's life was in danger. He didn't hesitate.

What about Mav, though? When Iceman was being swarmed by 5 bogies, Mav started having flashbacks to his flat spin and Goose. Man, he lost his edge. Iceman should have been a deadman.
