My wife's jeep has 160k on it, and is starting to bounce more than it should.
Do you have any recommendations for new struts for a stock ride height jeep?
Middle of the road is what I'd be looking for most likely, no more than $100 per.

It shouldn't have struts and the shocks are cheap as balls.

Almost anything will work fine as the stock ones were simple as can be.

Off roaders grab rancho rs5000s or rs9000s for pretty damned cheap.

It's pretty much the same as anything you can get Monroe to bilstien and they will all work ok just choose how much you want to spend

I bought some Monroe shocks from Advance auto for $15 a piece for my Cherokee. They come with a lifetime warranty so they'll be the last ones I buy even though I imagine my Cherokee will fall apart around the shocks. Even though they are no Koni sports they definitely improved the ride quality but, then again, I imagine replacing the old shocks with 2x4's would've been an improvement and would've kept me from having to take Dramamine when I drove it since the shocks probably had 300K miles on them.

hmm, Bilstein for $60 each or Monroe for $30 each...
That is the question.

I skipped over the cheapest options.
Middle of the road has served me well on the jeep.

I love when simple jobs go wrong.
Took 45 minutes for the first three, then three hours for the last one.
The left rear had both bolts snap off.
The the easy out wouldn't grab.
So I went and bought a tap and new bolts.
Problem solved and the wife is happy.

if it makes you feel better, I replaced the front shocks on my neice's rodeo and had to cut the shock out with a grinder because the inner bushing broke loose out of the rubber, causing me to not be able to spin the bolt.... after cutting forever I had to clamp the bolt/nut down and impact the shit out of it
