just started up the ps3 recently and dont have cable anymore. i watch netflix on there. how can i watch college bball/fball? there's got to be a way. dont make me turn cable back on just for that.

we had/have direcTV (its suspended at the moment). i use netflix/huluplus/amazon. i might have to drop hulu plus.

live college sports is xbox only but you need to subscribe to espn one way or another. http://www.espn3.com

My friend uses his PS3 browser to access one of the streaming sports sites.

Don't expect a picture quality like netflix, but hey it's free

I think it depends on where the stream originates from.

If it's a veetle, or a SOPcast, or some other stream that requires a plugin or separate software altogether, the ps3 isn't having it.

Ideally, i'd like to end up putting linux on my ps3 - I've heard good things about that.

Xbox has a one-year exclusivity agreement with ESPN, so you should have the ESPN app sometime this fall.
