Is it worth it to jailbreak this device?

Anyone had any experience? What is the coolest thing it can do when jailbroken?

idk about the 3 but you could install xbmc or plex on a jailbroken 2 which made it infinitely more useful (even if xbmc/plex still suck in general)

xbmc is trash. its indexer is garbage and slow and doesnt work. its ui is horrific. its bad but not as bad as using itunes

I don't try to index my media, so I wouldn't know about that. That feature never really interested me on anything anyway. I use XBMC to watch media, not index it. The UI is 100% customizable, so if you don't like the default, you only have yourself/laziness to blame. And iTunes is the biggest piece of shit on the planet, so saying that something is better than that isn't saying anything at all.

Instead of incessant bitching about something, why don't you let us all know what is so much better?

media browser is better but its not great. there are no good media library set-top-box type things. only ones that are slightly less bad than others
