Just bought a used 2006 Nissan Altima about 2 months ago and looking to get some basic car maintenance done without having to pay dealership prices. I don't know of anyone in the area and know absolutely nothing about cars so if anyone has a good mechanic they've used I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

i try to use TWWers (zxappeal in particular) when possible, but sometimes tommy (mission valley 66 at the intersection of western and avent ferry) is cheaper and/or more available...i think he's an honest guy who does good work

he'll tell you if someone can do the work cheaper (in the case of transmissions and the like) and refer you to them

Oh, I don't trust anybody. But I do okay work. Fo' cheapa dollaz than the dealer. On Nissans, tho they may be rolling shitpiles on wheels.
