the best part is the "there's no point in us going to the convention and pushing for a man"

Fox News (sic) ladies and gentlemen. Romney's spokesman ruined their narrative

Although I'll probably vote for Obama, I kind of want Romney to win even more now that they have the Conservative darling as the VP. The internal mechanics after a Romney/Ryan win would be fantastic.

Two sentiments I love:

"If you don't have a sufficient disregard for the truth, you should be fired." (wow.... commented before I watched the whole video. one of those pundits said the same fucking thing)

"The only point of doing your show, Mr. Hannity, is to push for the republican presidential candidate."

Conservative darling?

We went to dinner last night with some friends and we were talking about Paul Ryan and Romney's choice of him. My friend said that at least Ryan appeals as a Tea Party darling.

I turned and looked at him like he had three heads.

"Who is a better Tea Party darling than Ron Paul?"

"Good point."

The VP is basically a worthless position to hold.

Realistically, Ryan being a VP (which I presume removes him from congress) makes his ideas less likely to be implemented.

He only matters for the election, then after that, it's whatever. He was picked because of his appeal with knuckle-draggers, and his ideologies would then just be discarded if Romney ever won.

Romney is more of a pragmatist, perhaps more-so than even Obama. That's why he doesn't ever talk about his actual positions, and why he flip-flops so much. He's pandering for whatever votes he can get, then when he gets in office, he's going to do what he wants anyway. That's what rich, entitled, douches do. That's what he's done his entire life. Perhaps the biggest change from Obama would be he would fully embrace corporatism (his bread and butter donors) rather than tacitly do so.

Being the gov of Mass. bred at least SOME liberal values into him, that would come out.

Quote :
"Mr. Paul’s national security positions draw raves from many veterans, students and others who believe his noninterventionism would curtail a dangerous trend toward military adventurism and strengthen America’s influence and prestige while diverting resources to pay down the national debt. In interviews at Paul campaign events this week, many said they embraced his national security proposals, rather than reluctantly accepting them.

“He would get us out of our difficulties overseas,” said Tony Snook, a retired Army sergeant first class wounded in a rocket attack in Basra, Iraq, in 2007 who came to a raucous Paul rally that drew 500 people on Wednesday night in Des Moines. “You should choose your fights wisely,” he said. “If it’s not there, don’t invent something, don’t shed blood needlessly.”"

So he is receiving donations from people in the military and not from the actual organizations.

If that's the case the graph is pointless

Gan government agencies donate money to Presidential campaigns? (Party organizations notwithstanding, I'm not sure I count those as government agencies anyway)
