post your list

you can tell who their favorites are by the times they invite them back and the material they give them

You people are crazy. Maine Justice is the best even when it's bad.

He isn't the best/greatest actor to host when you are talking about their overall acting accomplishments. But judged solely on his performance as SNL host how many are better than JT in recent years?

Maine Justice rules. If you don't get it, you're dumb.

With that said, Sober Caligula could've gone so much further.

I enjoyed Maine Justice both times but the second time would not have been nearly as good without the giant alligator puppet.

And not nearly as good as that if the giant alligator puppet hadn't been holding a gavel.

I thought the first Maine Justice was among the funniest skits I've seen in years. This past one was funny for me, but more as just to see it again and replay some of the jokes. Had it not been for the first one, I'm not entirely sure I would have loved this one.

In terms of good hosts in the past X years, the only one that comes to mind recently was Sir Charles, but I'm not saying he was on par with Timberlake in terms of how well he did, but that was a solid overall show

Also, despite his laughing, Jamie was a better Jessup (sp? capital?) than Justin

I enjoyed Martin Short as host more than JT

He wasn't host, just musical guest. Martin Short hosted.

Carville was OK, but girl you wish you hadn't started talking to at a party is so bad, it negated Carville and made Weekend Update a failure

I'll admit to being a Cecily Strong honk, but I love the Girl character.

I really hope they do more of the callback stuff in the future. Darrell's House II and Z Shirt II are two of the most genuinely entertaining things on the show in a long time.

I haven't watched it yet, but Kristen Wiig was never all that funny to me. I've always assumed I'm just not cool enough to get her. I also think some people find her attractive, which I do not, so I'm really missing whatever is going on there.

Yeah, I never did like Kristen Wiig. I turned it off when they showed them setting the stage up for Target Lady during one of the commercial breaks. I just couldn't sit through another one of those.

I missed the first half hour. What I saw was mediocre. Did they do Gilly? Because Gilly might be my least favorite thing ever.

What a terrible episode. Cold open was uninspired. Vampire weekend sucked (though I like their music, could Diane Young be more repetitive?)

Target Lady sucked
Garth & Kat and Anthony Crispino on Weekend Update sucked
The Californians sucked
The cold open really sucked
The variety show tiny doll hands singer thing sucked
The acupuncture sketch was somewhat humorous
I enjoyed the My Mom's A Ghost thing

When Kristen Wiig isn't doing a recurring character (as in My Mom's a Ghost or the acupuncture sketch), I think she's good. When it's a bit like Gilly, tiny hands lady, target lady, or that fucking piece of shit Garth and Kat, it's way too heavy handed and without any fucking merit.
