pretty sure Bill Clinton would win in a presidential race versus Clint Eastwood

but obviously neither of them are running

[Edited on September 5, 2012 at 11:51 PM. Reason : also i'd vote for Clint, cause he is Dirty Harry!]

If you weren't posting elementary school versions of republican talking points and making vague allusions to "numbers" that never materialize nobody would give a shit that your spelling and syntax are terrible.

i don't usually watch much cable-news tv, but i've been watching more in the last couple weeks than i have in the last couple years, mostly unchd, msnhd and fndh/fbnhd. and it's been interesting. and i too have been wondering about the rev: first, why are they still putting him on tv? and two, is he sick? i know he lost a lot of weight, but he looks frail. and bill should have wiped that white spot out of the corner of his mouth, if it was wipeable. but apparently he just won over the world.

^^^you must have conveniently forgotten the political ads before the convention, if you're acting like you forgot that Clinton criticized Obama's experience in favor of wanting his wife to become the nominee

keep towing the party line though, I'll keep objectively viewing the entire R/D process from a non-biased independent perspective

The question is whether or not those people who have already decided will actually vote. I think that question matters more for Democrats (our folks are a little harder to motivate) than it does for Republicans so maybe that's why you're not quite grasping its importance.

I also think you are overemphasizing the swing voter because you fancy yourself a swing voter, a reasonable guy who weighs all the sides. But you're not a swing voter. You know who you're going to vote for, and you proved that when you dismissed women's issues as a "manufactured problem." Maybe you're unaware, but the steps that have been taken all across this country to limit reproductive rights are very, very real...there is nothing manufactured about it. So you're either very ignorant or you're exceptionally biased in favor of conservatives. I think it might be both. You actually have to swing at least once or twice to qualify as a swing voter...and claiming that you would vote for Bill Clinton today doesn't count.

I'm certain this post is a reach, but you cannot pretend to be this reasonable guy who is above it all while simultaneously pushing some total garbage about how women's issues are a manufactured problem--just another distraction/trick from those crafty Democrats, right?

i'm just observing, you're the one acting like Clinton was throwing his wife under the bus when she was still a viable candidate

i don't blame his flipflop, thats politics, he supported his wife, for obvious reasons, then once it was clear she wasn't going to get the nomination, he supported Obama

pretty obvious for anyone who isn't blindly in love with Obama

^^^^you mentioned Clinton endorsing Obama at the 08 convention, as if that meant Clinton always supported him...when thats not true, since Clinton obviously had his own reasons for endorsing Hillary until she was essentially out of the race

you can play the semantics / syntax card all you want, but you arguing my point about Clinton shitting on Obama 4 years ago makes you seem like you're in love with Obama...either that, or just willfully ignorant to the fact that Clinton indeed attacked Obama for multiple reasons, until his precious wife was out of the picture, in which case he went all SEC! SEC! and supported Obama, the fellow party member who was going to actually run for president

you do realize that it is possible to campaign for your wife and not attack her opponent, right?

I saw him speak in 08 and he didnt attack him once

of course they aren't the best of friends. they dont have to be. it's politics and they're playing for the same team

i know he attacked Obama's lack of governmental experience while touting Hillary's...more government experience

thats not a personal attack, maybe he didn't want to go all out if he thought she didn't have a good chance to become the final nominee, but its just disingenuous to say Bill Clinton never criticized Obama during the few months that he thought Hillary could be the nominee

No, you aren't an independent. You're a nonvoter. You statistically don't exist. I cannot make this any more clear. Your only contribution to American politics, literally, is spewing nonsense on the internet.

^^and your contribution is 1 vote in a state (doesn't even matter which state) thats decided by thousands of votes, if not tens of thousands of votes for one side or the other?

whatever makes yourself feel better about supporting one extremely corrupt party over the other

look at me! i voted! i made a difference! i helped my party win or lose by 19,678 votes, i am an important member of society!

lol, clowns

That definitely is the Democratic process.

But thats not The Democratic process.

Look, you're not going to win this argument because there isn't one to win. If you want to continue to disconnect and do nothing, then continue to do nothing. However, nobody else is going to ever take you seriously and that makes you exactly what I said you were: an irrelevant assclown spewing nonsense on the internet.

Voting doesn't only mean voting for president. There are a lot of smaller elections that you could possibly make a difference in that you're missing out on which affect your life quite a bit. Do you care about Republicans trying to disenfranchise the poor, elderly, young and minorities? Vote Dem. If you care about Dems raising taxes on food and alcohol (fuck you Bev Perdue), then vote Rep. You just sound like a whiny bitch by abstaining from the process altogether.

i shouldnt sound like a whiny bitch, i should sound like an apathetic bitch if anything

regardless of who is president, vice president, governor, mayor, student council president, i'm gonna find a way to make do

i just dont like people saying "if you had to choose between being shot to death or stabbed to death, which would you choose" and them shitting on me for saying neither

the two party system is broken as fuck, its sad you guys (and people on the right as well) dont realize that, and instead choose to criticize someone who refuses to participate in the charade, rather than the puppeteers who orchestrate it on each side
