Hi everyone,
My employer, author and speaker Jeff Davidson, is looking for a computer science student or someone who has experience with web development for part time position within 5 minutes of campus. At least 6 hours must be performed on site but some work can be dome remotely.
Tasks will include updating and maintaining http://breathingspace.com, performing simple video and audio edits and helping jeff with computer tasks. Pay starts at 9.50 an hour.
Jeff exclusively employs students which is why I'm posting this here.
If you're interested, email Jeff@breathingspace.com with your resume and we'll get back to you.
Thanks! 9/16/2012 3:34:16 PM |

Last time I earned $9.50 an hour was when I was 15 years old. Good luck. 9/16/2012 9:29:52 PM |

9.50 is a pretty good wage for a student who is looking to gain experience.
We're not looking for someone who has worked on CNN.com, we're looking for someone who has dabbled in HTML and wants to learn more.
Synapse, I wish I had your job at 15. When I was 15 I was making six bucks and happy to get it.

^Yea, I don't think it's that bad. I made $8, $10 doing web development as a student and that was before the recession. 9/16/2012 9:36:18 PM |

You earned $6 an hour 4 years ago, or 40 years ago?

Age is wrong. I'm actually 21 so it would have been six years ago. I started off a 6.15 an hour I think.
I really can't believe there is this much controversy over the wage. I think it's pretty good for a part-time job for someone with just a little bit of experience.
THIS isn't a full time position

^^^ It's because this isn't a CS OR web developer job, and you cheapen the professor/major of a CS/Developer by painting it as such.
This is a technician job, and there are thousands of qualified, talented, capable students in non-computer majors that can perform this job at an exceptional level.

Judging by his website, Jeff needs a designer and a developer, not a technician 9/17/2012 7:52:38 PM |
