Lucasarts is dead. Everybody laid off. Star Wars will now be licensed out for games instead of being made in house."

Knee-jerk reaction:

Wow.. Just wow.

1313 might still survive.

[Edited on April 6, 2013 at 9:46 AM. Reason : It will be shopped around to various developers depending on how good it looks now.]

It made business sense for them to shut it down, but yeah it kinda sucks. It would have been nice if they kept it on and developed the whole background of 1313 and then spliced references of the game with their upcoming trilogy since both kind of depict a more gritty and darker story tone that previous star wars cannon or stories.

Just a random bit of knowledge. Did you know in SWBF2 that you could force choke a wookie rocket?

I miss that game

If it weren't for Super Metroid, The Curse of Monkey Island would be the greatest video game ever made.

You mean the Fate of Atlantis, and I don't think anyone underrates it at all.

Maybe not; I didn't even realize they made a Last Crusade game.

The Patton Oswalt's Star Wars Filibuster - Parks and Recreation video is just plain awesome. I'm very impressed that he was able to talk for 8 mins about such a crazy story with loads of detail and stay in character.

Did you guys hear that they secretly started filming already!!!

This is a shot of Harrison Ford as Han Solo training a new youth of fleet captains. The plot of the movie is that the Sith resurfaced abruptly as soon as Palpatine fell. The rebel fleet was demolished to the point that they've resolved to training kids at an early age.

Sounds a little outlandish I know, but I'm pumped.

I don't care what else they do as long as Boba Fett is Maori. If they can't find a good Maori actor at least make whoever they get look Maori. The important thing here is Maori.

Well we finally found out today what they are doing with The Clone Wars Adventures TV series. Its going to have its final season debut next month exclusively on Netflix. Additionally all of The Clone Wars Adventures TV episodes and the movie will be streamed on Netflix too. Here is a trailer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=T_jcl8wxSEI

Quote :
"The streaming giant announced it has signed an exclusive agreement to bring the final series of The Clone Wars, dubbed "The Lost Missions," to all 44 million of its subscribers on March 7th. Netflix says the 13-episode season will be accompanied by director's cuts of the previous five Clone Wars seasons and the feature film, making it the only subscription service to offer such content."

I am actually really happy about this. I cannot stand loose ends in a series. I have read that one of the story arcs revolves around Sifo-Dyas, and I've always wondered why the writers never focused on this before.

^^^Yes I am glad they didn't just totally kill it. Kinda sounded like they were for a bit. I would rather get a final season then to simply pull the plug with no closure. Especially where they left it with Snips.

It would be so appropriate for Palpatine to use Darth Maul ("I have plans for you...") to kill Ahsoka just so he can drive Anakin over the edge - and subsequently have Anakin go batshit rage crazy on Darth Maul - but it'll never happen. This show never really took the dark turn which it could have in order to help better flesh out Anakin's turn. I don't think we'll ever really know what happened to Ahsoka. It's weird how I absolutely hated her when she was introduced, but she sorta grew on me.

"The Star Wars team is thrilled to announce the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

Director J.J. Abrams says, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer"

Andy Serkis is exciting. If they are gonna have cgi characters (and obviously they are) then have someone who is good at it.
