It doesn't matter what bread you get at Subway. It's all wheat bread. They just bleach it for the white breads. There is no nutritional difference between the wheat and white (or anything else). The only difference are in the bread toppings (cheeses, garlic, etc).

It's also pretty shit bread. Packed with all kinds of additives and conditioners to keep it fresh longer and from hardening like a brick like any fresh baked bread will do in the course of a day.

That said, I fucking love me some subway I just pack on the veggies until they won't give me any more, and the people that work at Subways have always been really interesting and socially engaging folks. I've probably eaten at several hundred different Subways around the US and in the Caribbean during my various travels, and the quality and service have been amazingly consistent.

Yes, they are actually. At least, in the Northwest, mid-west, great plains, rockies, and great lakes regions they are (predominantly).

But even then, I've been to many run by Indian's, Latino's, Pakistani's, even African-Americans, and they have always been very chill and friendly. I still love the Subway in Cary over on Harrison I think, I used to eat there every so often and it was run by a middle eastern guy and his wife. They were both really nice folks.

I don't deny that they're markedly inferior to Quizno's, Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, and pretty much any other chain...I mean, they're fast-food subs

but they're cheap, and I find them to be quite tasty. imo the same charges that could be leveled against Subway (that it's mass produced, processed, cheaply-made food) could also be raised against McDonald's, Wendy's etc.

but if you demand true quality in a sub, I suppose I sympathize.

It takes the same amount of time to order/receive a sub from any of those places. Also Jersey Mikes is significantly more expensive (and significantly better), but Subway isn't any cheaper than the rest of those places. Shitty argument on all accounts.

There's really no valid reason to set foot in that place.
