hey guys,

so the valiant is about 95% complete, but interior work is the one thing im iffy about doing myself. the carpet in the car is not original, and it looks like a blind man laid it. the condition is okay, but it really just looks like shit (even for a rat rod).

the front seat has a seat cover on it that isnt terrible, but the back seats are awful and i would never be able to find a cover that matched the front. as of right now the back is all duct taped together.

the headliner and everything else is great! id just like to do the carpet and front/rear bench. maybe some kind of brown or tan (possibly tweed)? i want it done as cheaply as possible; anything is better than what it has but it doesnt have to be award winning given the car.

i was going to call a few places around charlotte tomorrow and get pricing... i was wondering if anyone had experience in this sort of thing maybe they could give me advice on what to look for? surely less than $1000 i would think.

would they be doing this custom i wonder or would that be ordering a carpet kit online? would it be cheaper in that case to buy the materials myself and give them to the people?

car has been running great though! ill probably drive it to work all this week and took it on a couple of long drives the past couple weekends! 170 slant six is nothing to brag about but it gets the job done.

thanks!

Yeah dude I have no idea either. I'm trying to find a car with a decent interior allready so I don't go OCD overkill on it and end up $texas deep into an interior.
