... sometimes. I have soaked them before and never had this happen, but I soaked a bag a couple hours ago and kept hearing this popping sound coming from the kitchen. After a minute of confusion I realized it was coming from the bowl of beans on the counter. Google says it's a real thing, so I'm glad it's not aliens.
