Holy shit, I'm stoked. Either it's going to be really awesome or they've done a wicked job with the trailer. FWIW, I'm not a fan a post fight club Brad Pitt.

Pitt has made a bunch of good movies since Fight Club.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Pitt_filmography

He made a lot of good movies before fight club, too

I usually just prefer unknowns or actors who do like the cheesy bullshit movies. For example, Tom Cruise or Angelina Jolie...can't stand those guys. Pitt kind of edges that way at times. Oceans 12 sucked so very bad. But this is about WWZ, I can't wait to see this. This will be another one that I'll go to the theater for.

I haven't read the book, but I thought it was a compilation of stories, diary entries, etc. by people across the world. I didn't think there was one protagonist.

^ There's one guy that's retelling the stories he's collected from around the world, and it's hard for me to explain, but there's kind of a progression to it. IIRC the Plan B thing is a key to what the movie is going to be about.

The book is basically series of interviews of people talking about the war (the full title is World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War). Each subject (interviewee) sort of covers one aspect in which they were directly involved. And the interviews are presented sequentially so it gives you a beginning-to-end telling of the war. For ex., the first subject talks about the initial outbreak, then there is talk about the spread, the great panic, etc. etc. and the final subjects speak about getting back to semi-normal life after it's all said and done. What "the guy" is actually doing in the book is research for a report for the UN or whatever. He is not directly involved in any of the stories. He introduces the interviewee and then asks a question and then it typically shifts to a first person perspective of the interviewee. I think it occasionally break and the guy would ask a clarification or follow-up question. In the book, they guy is really just a mechanism for all of the people to tell the story. You could remove him and it's the exact same story. This is what a lot of people are unhappy about. There is not one protagonist in the book. And it seems they've changed that for the movie.[Edited on January 4, 2013 at 10:02 PM. Reason : .]

Another zombie movie? There are two things that you people are suckers for: Zombie movies and Comic book movies. The Jews are just sittin back in hollywood collecting their dough on this shit.
5/10/2013 2:08:40 AM
wtf man? i'm not jewish but i know people who are and that's just downright offensive.

Anyone who read and enjoyed the books, should be pissed off at every trailer they see. It appears they've taken a great text, with a pretty easy to adapt movie script, and turned it into another I Am Legend incident. The trailer looks pathetically bad, it actually looks like they've adapted this to screen worse than "I Am Legend", "I, Robot", and "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter". And that is saying a lot. Thanks for nothing Brad Pitt, *sigh*.

^^ Jews rule hollywood and finance. Everybody knows this/not offensive. It's humorous. My favorite vampire movie is dawn of the dead. I feel like this one may be good because brad pitt is in it.

Come on, Contagion did the same thing in terms of political commentary. Don't lie, it is the flesh eating zombies.

There are actually no flesh eating zombies. The whole book just outlines how various countries dealt with it.Hopefully you aren't working on a zombie attack in your fancy chem lab
