One of my favorite movies of all time, especially now that I have kids.

I wondered that too, but they were careless. Poor Drew. You don't see shows explore how the boy/man feels in these situations often. Well done by writers and the actor.

Monica Potter has been fantastic this season btw. I love her.

Yea I thought it was a really good episode. Surprised he didn't go to Amber earlier. Nice to see a different portrayal from the usual teen boy who gets his girlfriend pregnant and just wants to have it "taken care of" and/or forcing the girl to do it. Quite the role reversal in some ways, her pulling away and dumping him, not really wanting him to be there, etc. I thought it was totally believable for him to act that way since he has always been an introverted and emotional kid on the show. The whole Max thing was pretty funny too. I really did want to choke a bitch though when Crosby's mother-in-law turned down the damn job. Beggars can't be choosers. Not sure why she didn't take the job now and then keep looking if it wasn't perfect for her.

entitled.

but seriously if my wife's mom needed help i would be more than happy to oblige, but if she started turning down jobs i would be fucking pissed. (but she is not the type where either of those things are likely to happen... she's awesome.)

^Yea, I'm with you. I can totally see helping out a family member if they need it, but if you are offered a job, don't think your too good for it. If it was good enough for you to apply for it, then it is good enough for you to accept it. And the reasons given were such BS too. Vacation and benefits. What benefits does she have now? Also no mention of "the pay was shit" or something, which I could understand a little better. Fuck all that noise. And the BIL getting his mom to wash his laundry when she is a guest of somebody else. Get the fuck outta here with that and with the dinner thing. Crosby was being a bitch about not trying the fish, but don't nobody come in and change supper time.

Yea that is another one that went from cute little girl to bangable before our eyes on TV. I try not to think about how old that makes me feel!

I was a bit surprised Ray Romano is back for another season. I figured he was gone after his move to be with his daughter.

Another Amber free episode. Still not seeing that shit about Joel moving out though. Guess I've never had to worry about a questionable situation with my wife and what I would do without all the info that we the viewers have.

Without googling for confirmation, they definitely left it where it could be a series finale if they aren't renewed.

I personally feel it should be renewed forever and ever. All the feels.

what was the reason for moving out of the childhood house?

after Sarah and her kids moved out, they were back to a big empty house. Millie wanted to sell, downsize, and travel. Just a downsize decision.

My parents made the same one and I had similar reactions when they did it. "But noooooo!" But man am I glad they no longer live in kinston

Googling says once again this show is on the bubble. Poo.

didn't like how they left the Joel/Julia plot. really anticlimactic and no doubt the fact that Julia slept with hotty mcteacher will rear it's ugly head if the show is renewed.

i guess she spells it "haddie"

the only things i've known with this name were two dogs spelled "hattie" (named after OBX)

^^I has bothered me in the past how Sarah and Adam seem to ignore sometimes the other kids for Max. I have thought it a bit strange the Haddie just up and disappeared without even a mention from Sarah when Adam comes home about "Haddie called" or have her Facetime with her mom or something. But during stuff like the mayoral run, the baby also seems to totally disappear. I know they have a lot of family around, and can afford a babysitter, but it does seem like sometimes they just up and go get Max or do something with him and their is no explanation given for where Nora is or if the sitter is alright or something. You know, things normal people worry about when they are off doing something.

Every time I watch this show (which admittedly was like twice) it was boring as hell. I mean, a family drama? Who gives a shit?

Plus they hired a bunch of comedians to play on a show and be completely unfunny.

Shit was good, but you kinda had to start from the beginning IMO. I thought Ray Romano had a fantastic character. Haddie being a lesbian was a little out of left field from the end of last season and then that whole storyline never re-appeared the last season. For that matter she only made it onto the finale.
