The website is full of crazy. It's essentially creating a walled city funded by a gun plant. I would assume everyone would work at it. It's a pretty good business model I guess.

This isn't the first comment like this I've read in similar threads since the Newtown massacre. These comments aren't limited to just one user either.

The question I have is this... Why are these comments even being made? Do you relish the thought that the government would obliterate these people just because they hold political ideals you don't agree with? Were you sitting at home jerking it during the Waco siege or Ruby Ridge?

How would you feel about similar comments being made if Federal buildings or abortion clinics took naive steps to defend themselves against truckbombs?

Sorry willy, I really think you're making this up. He made the comment that an AC-130 gunship could easily take this complex out. i think his point was that they are fooling themselves if they think they're protecting themselves from the government. Not at all, I don't want anyone to get hurt. I don't even get any satifaction that the Sandy Hook mother was killed by her own unneccesarily powerful weapons, I think it's a tragedy. I think the focus on this unneccesary prepping puts the preppers in more dangers from accidents than they face from the imaginary threat they are prepping for.

I don't think anyone is "relishing their potential pwning" so much as questioning their motives. However, from the FAQ they're clear they're not planning on being able to withstand a .gov or .mil attack, just clans of bandits and natural disasters.

I would have picked a much more temperate location than "Northern Idaho" but I'm not a crazy prepper so who the fuck knows why they picked that location. I had to google "American Redoubt".

I don't get the impression that the people you're talking about would be "gleeful" or think it would be funny for the scenarios you describe to actually happen. Just that they think it's funny that the "preppers" are seemingly obsessed with those scenarios and are convinced that they will happen. Laughing at someone for thinking the sky is falling is not the same as laughing at the sky actually falling.
