game threads are an outlet for frustration (AND EXCITEMENT). missing multiple point blank layups, wide open jumpers, horrendous refereeing, losing out on crucial 50/50 balls, exhibiting stupendous lapses of competent defensive execution, it's all fair game for game day threads. you've been here long enough to know this.

why don't i see you telling everyone to cool it down when they're posting in excitement following dunks or big time hustle plays.

COME ON GUYS, WE'RE ONLY 4 MINUTES INTO THE GAME. COOL IT WITH THE EXCITEMENT. LET'S LET THIS THING PLAY OUT.

but nobody is like "oh shit Vandy just got an and-1, we're gonna win by 50" but they are like "oh no, CJ missed a layup then fouled, we're gonna lose by double digits and miss the tourney"

the positive plays tend to draw rational reactions, like "hell yeah, great play!"...the negative plays should draw reactions like "fuck, you gotta box out" or "dammit, need to get back on defense"

not "aww shit, there goes the season, nc state shit, just like the last 20 years, this team sucks, i'm gonna stop watching games after this, i hate this team, typical state performance"

i find it hard to support basketball period, if we were undefeated basketball is an after thought to me

i find out the next day if we won or lost and im either "o cool we won" or "dang it we lost"
