Need to do a bit of house cleaning, and have way too many spare parts around. Some of this stuff would make excellent inexpensive PCs or integrate very nicely into home theatre projects.
First up:
#1: 2x Intel Motherboards with Passive Cooling, P4 and Ram
Intel motherboards with integrated graphics, ethernet, audio, etc. Configured with a 3.4GHz Pentium 4 HT processor and 2GB of Kingston HyperX ram. Nothing super fancy, but ought to be excellent as a home theater box or for server work. The biggest selling point is these are entirely passively cooled, with a monstrous heatsink assembly that sits offset from the board. This allows for creative mounting in cases that would fit great into a TV cabinet . . . . throw it in an old VCR or something even! if desired I'll be happy to throw in the 2U cases they were in at no charge.
$50 each
#2: 3x Intel Motherboards w P4 and Ram
The same motherboards as above, but with a standard low-profile 1U type fan heatsink installed. Includes P4 2.8GHz HT processor and 1GB ram. Throw them in a case and make a cheap PC, or use the 2U rackmount case they came in with its dual power supplies and use them as a server (I'll throw in the cases for free).
$25 each
#3: Various Ram
I have 2GB and 1GB Laptop DDR2 sticks, $10 for 1GB and $20 for 2GB. Think I have four of each. 1/30/2013 7:31:58 PM |
