I work for one of the leading bar entertainment companies in the country, World Tavern Entertainment. We are the #1 Poker League in America and also one of the top Trivia providers in the country.
We would like to shoot sort of a 'training video' to show bar owners the type of way our trivia games should be run.
We are willing to offer a few hundred bucks to the right 'personality' to appear on camera. Must be outgoing, energetic, possess a clear speaking voice, and be generally OK-or-better to look at.
PLUS
If you are currently a student in broadcasting or communications and are looking to do some video production work for your portfolio, we are offering roles in the making of this training video. We will provide food, beverages, and letters of recommendation when the project is completed to our satisfaction.

I think it's pretty standard that training videos are monotonous as hell
until you get to the crazy, bloody re-enactments 2/4/2013 5:17:31 PM |

^Back when I worked at Best Buy the training videos were actually great. They'd take applications for store associates to be in them (and usually picked entertaining and attractive ones), and include stuff like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog making fun of the company owner and random customers or comedians operating the box shredder or Big Joe (the electric forklift) and showing what NOT to do. Always entertaining to watch. 2/5/2013 12:34:43 AM |

So the production aspect of this is strictly for credit? No pay? 2/5/2013 3:57:16 AM |

There may be a small budget for the production aspect. You can probably negotiate some money out of them. If you ask for a couple of hundred bucks and have a decent portfolio or examples of your work, they'd probably go for it. 2/5/2013 9:31:13 AM |

Follow up to Snewf, this is what the boss just sent me:
'This is a small budget (but paying) project to work with our team to create the outline, film and edit the video. As well, we are looking for a “trivia host” with the right 'personality' to appear on camera. Must be outgoing, energetic, possess a clear speaking voice, and have a look for tv.' 2/5/2013 9:32:07 AM |

Hey guys, we are getting tons of submissions. No one will likely hear back for a few weeks as we go over all of the submissions and start to interview people. 2/7/2013 1:51:39 PM |
