Ok... so say your engine has a VE of ~80%

Does that mean the first ~3 psi doesn't actually effect the calculated compression ratio... since it's just compensating for the engines in-ability to fill up the actual displacement of the engine?

still trying to settle on CR between 8 & 9.5 psi.

well... 12-14 psi will give me end of the world kind of power so i don't need to build for too crazy (deep into 4 digits)

20+ psi and i'm approaching

not anytime soon... but lets just say the galaxie doesn't have a billet crank cause it's pretty...

from my limited and albeit outdated experience, peak cylinder pressure and total CFM were what mattered in terms of building for resilience and power. that said, I would opt for a higher compression ratio with more usable power since the car will be on the street most of the time. less wear on the turbo(s) as well.
