^yup, i have no confidence in my bracket this year. The only thing I am confident in is that Gonzaga is not a 1 seed.

Filled out a couple brackets, but this is the one in my "big" money pool:

Louisville
Kansas
Ohio State
Miami

Didn't really have anything too crazy in the Final Four. But I have absolutely no confidence in my picks.

Mountain West hasn't done shit in the tournament in years. Don't buy the hype.

We destroyed SDSU last year. Didn't all four lose in the first round?

so has everybody picking against Gonzaga actually seen them play this year and basing their picks off of that or are you just picking on past performance?

because I've got a sneaking suspicion that it's the latter

They beat 5 teams that made the tournament: Ok State, KState, St. Mary's, Oklahoma, and Davidson.

One was a small conference champ and the other barely (shouldn't) have got in - St. Mary's.

So they were really 2-2 against NCAA competition: wins over KState and OSU and losses to Illinois and Butler.

I mean Virginia has 4 wins just as good/better than Gonzaga's best (@Wisconsin, Duke, UNC, NCSU). Sorry to not crown someone who hasn't played a good team since January 19 when they lost to Butler.

I've seen them play several times and they're a legit top 20 team, but they aren't good enough to run this field and make the final four. I think there is a pretty good chance they lost to Pitt in the round of 32.

The fact that they haven't really played anyone in 3 months is a horrible way to prepare for the tourney and that is going to cause problems for them.

Exactly. The zags are good, but they are the weakest #1, & aside from UNM, the rest of the region is pretty weak too. tOSU is only the 3rd best #2, Weak #4, Wisconsin is a strong 5, but they don't travel well, Weak #6, Weak #7.

I'm guilty of buying into the hype, but i didn't think they'd lose to fucking Harvard of all teams. I just figured they had momentum going into the tourney with something to prove, and Ohio state might have peaked and it would have been a nice upset given the way things had been going this season as far as very good teams randomly shutting the bed.
