If anyone is using Pidgin or another XMPP client to connect to Facebook chat, have you noticed recently any glitchy behavior?

This has always worked perfectly for me, but now it will wont display my online contacts even though it signs on just fine.

Sometimes intermittently one or two might pop up for a minute only to both sign off at the same time.

Any ideas?

anyone still having this issue? my old settings still wouldn't work ("not authorized" message) and so i googled to turn up this solution (which still doesn't work for me): http://techtravelandtalks.blogspot.com/2013/04/pidgin-facebook-connection-error-not.html

in short, the settings on the "basic" tab are:

protocol: XMPP
username: (not your email address)
domain: chat.facebook.com
resource: Pidgin

on the "advanced" tab:

connection security: Use encryption if available
connect port: 5222
connect server: chat.facebook.com
file transfer proxies: proxy.eu.jabber.org

as i said, it doesn't work for me...now i just get an "unable to connect" message
