Not feeling it at all, and those matchups don't help.

Aeros are in Grand Rapids, but will not rush a backup to Chicago for tonight.

Anaheim wins 3-1, St. Louis wins in OT on a Jon Quick puckhandling error, and Chicago wins in OT.

Ryan Suter played 41:08 in the loss.

Crosby's first game back, with Itech chin guard: two goals in the first period.

Went to the Caps/Rags game today. Ended up spending more than I wanted to, but I got a ticket on the club level, one section off from center ice. Some girl who scalped a ticket like 5-10 minutes into the game who sat next to me paid only $25.

Didn't care in the slightest who won, so I was just hoping for OT, and OT is what I got. Also, while the game was "exciting", I'd certainly like to have seen more goals. I don't really get why people get so angry when they talk about wanting to change the rules for more scoring.

Goals do not make the game exciting. Scoring chances make the game exciting.

A playoff game is about a tension and a superlative level of play. If you want a score fest, go watch the East Coast league.

Yeah, a 1-0 game with insane scoring chances, coupled with insane saves, is far more exciting than a gong show.

Well yeah, but today's game wasn't full of those either. One of the post earlier on in the game against Holtby, and then the Caps had a few good centering passes where either no one was home or they fanned on it.

The last 7-8 minutes of the game were exciting when you knew that the next goal was going to be the winner, but it wasn't all that great of a game to watch.

^^ Earlier you said the game was exciting. So was it or not? If you don't think it was a great game, that's fine, but don't blame a lack of scoring. That had nothing to do with it.

^ I full support that, although it's way easier to take a penalty that way. The right way to do it is at the base of the neck, so the movement is less dramatic.

Its the playoffs, a good referee would look the other way, regardless.

^^ I guess you missed the part where the word exciting was in quotes. Like I said, the last couple of minutes of regulation were exciting because you knew that whoever scored next was going to be the winner. The rest of the game was a lot of back and forth with nearly all the shots being easy saves by Lundquist/Holtby. Very few good looks even on the PP. If I could have chosen a 3-3 game going into OT instead of 0-0, I would have undoubtedly taken it.

Man, what is this East Coast League bullshit in the Pitt-NYI game? 2-2 with 5 minutes left in the 1st?

Except then you've got an equally boring game that also has shitty goaltending.

If you don't like playoff hockey, fine. Watch something else.

Schneider was baaaaad.

Still, Sharks got away with an offense worthy of a penalty shot. Could've reopened the game.

Good news for all the "BOBBBRROOVVVSKKKY" fans. Jay and Dan are moving from TSN to the new Fox Sports 1 channel.
