Titanic was good in 3D. It felt like you were in a boat on the water, watching the ship sink from a few hundred feet away. 5/4/2013 9:21:57 PM |

I've heard that Avatar was done well.
No first-hand experience, though. 5/4/2013 9:22:13 PM |

Having seen both Avatar in 3D in the movie theater and 2D on my TV it's my opinion that it was worse in 3D. 5/5/2013 1:39:48 PM |

I don't find 3D movies a big deal, but I really enjoyed Tron Legacy. 5/5/2013 1:53:17 PM |

I always look to see if the movie was filmed in 3D or just converted. Hence why I saw the last Transformers movie and Prometheus in 3D, but The Avengers, Iron Man 3, etc, in plain old 2D. Same with IMAX...why pay extra to see it on a bigger screen if they didnt film any of the movie for it? Would be like paying extra to see a colorized version of Citizen Kane. 5/5/2013 2:23:46 PM |

Prometheus was fun to watch in 3D.
I watched it on hbo and it's not a good movie.
So it was better in 3D
Also Dial M for Murder was good in 3D 5/5/2013 2:42:46 PM |

did anyone happen to watch the hobbit in 48fps 3d? I'm wondering if there is/will be a HFR 3d bluray to audition this at my house. FWIW - 3d is a lot better on plasma where you don't have soap opera effect. 5/5/2013 3:54:02 PM |

^^ yes, saw it in concord, nc. it was amazing, like i was at a play watching the actors right in front of me. i remember the screen resolution more than the 3d. 5/5/2013 7:49:19 PM |

tron legacy was cool in imax but the 3d didn't do much for me.
transformers 3 had that rad scene w/ the wingsuits flying thru the city where they put 3d cams on the dudes' heads.
I thought the 10 minute star trek into darkness preview had some pretty good 3d 5/5/2013 8:35:13 PM |
