If Sangria is made right, eating the fruit is like taking a shot with the amount of liquid they absorb.

And... not sure on the booze as my brother makes it, but red wine, and strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, pineapple, oranges, limes, lemons... usually just a combination of those instead of all at once, you can get good combinations. I vote for berries and citrus, but his my family loves a higher concentration of blackberries and peaches.

Exactly. And that's pretty much what we use with the liquor being brandy. But the key is to add lemon lime carbonated soda right before you serve it. And blackberries are my fave.

I also like sangria. Best with brandy and benedictine. Also top it off with sprite. Choice of fruit? Whatever the fuck kind of fruit you like.

I'm a beer and wine guy, but I like to fuck around with cocktails and such when the weather turns nice. Margaritas with fresh citrus juice, mojitos with mint from the garden, and a good red or white sangria are all good patio/grilling out drinks.

The good part about sangria is the additions mask less than stellar wine, so you can use the cheapo kind. Usually if I am not a fan of a bottle I open I'll make sangria out of the rest of it.
