Glennon might have had a shot had he played all year, but it's going to be Lacy in a landslide. No way it's Austin, he's had 2-3 good games, hell Keenan Allen would beat out Austin.

That ball to Underwood on the 85 yard td was a thing of beauty. Giraffe man can fucking sling it.

is there any doubt that Glennon is a top-15 QB at this point in the season?

I suppose, with his experience, that you could sneak him at the back of the Top 15.

ETA: THIS IS NOT A RANKING. JUST A LIST OF NAMES. I don't think Brees and Rodgers are borderline Top 10 QB's and no way in hell would I put Stafford at 14. Sorry for the confusion and it made me look like a dipwad.

1. Manning
2. Brady
3. Rivers
4. Wilson
5. Ryan
6. Eli
7. Newton
8. Rodgers
9. Brees
10. Foles
11. Romo
12. Big Ben
13. Luck
14. Stafford
15. Cutler?

The rest...Glennon, Dalton, Tannehill, RGIII, Kaepernick, Alex Smith, Flacco, etc.

it's clear that I hate Cutler, but I try to stay objective

Glennon, Tannehill, and TJ Yates are all better QBs than Cutler

Here's a nice little piece from an article on ESPN.com, for all of you low-life non-ESPN-Insiders.

Quote :
"Lost and found: Bucs' locker room

Greg Schiano certainly could have done a better job coaching the Buccaneers at various points this season. Yet, although it was tempting to say Schiano had "lost the locker room" when the team was losing its first eight games to open the season, that would have been a lazy way around assessing what was really hurting the team most.

2013 Bucs' QB Turnaround
Games 1-7 8-11
W-L 0-7 3-1
Comp. 149 63
Att. 275 91
Pct. 54.2 69.2
Yards 1,429 700
Yards/att. 5.7 8.7
TD-INT 8-6 8-1
Passer rat. 71.6 120.5
Sack pct. 5.7 10.2
Total QBR 33.1 67.4

For all the turmoil swirling around the team early in the season, quarterback play was by far the No. 1 problem for the Buccaneers. The team has won its past three games, and nearly its past four, not because Schiano suddenly recaptured the locker room; the team has rebounded mostly because rookie quarterback Mike Glennon has shown improvement and provided an upgrade from Freeman.

Glennon has 13 touchdown passes with four interceptions in seven games. He hasn't always played well, but check out his numbers since Week 9: 70.5 percent completions with 7 touchdowns, 1 interception, a 119.7 passer rating and 67.4 Total QBR score. Freeman's final eight starts with the Buccaneers produced this stat line: 47.8 percent completions with 8 touchdowns, 14 picks, a 57.2 passer rating and a 24.9 QBR score. Schiano was the head coach all along.

Glennon's improved play has brought into focus what an executive from another team described this way last month: "The narrative changed from 'Freeman is terrible and they have no QB' to 'Freeman is terrible because of all these other things.' People believe that narrative because it was so much easier than looking deeper into their issues."

While Schiano is looking like less of a long shot to keep his job, Glennon has been hitting the deeper throws. Since Week 8, he has completed seven of his 11 passes thrown more than 20 yards past the line of scrimmage. He's averaging a league-leading 28.4 yards per attempt on those throws in that span. Freeman completed six of 31 such throws over his final seven appearances as a Buc."

^ Compares him to Rex Grossman I'm sure he'll be much better than Rex, of course Glennon is starting out with more talent at WR/TE than Rex ever had.

Feel like that is an onion article. Comparison to Rex grossman is insulting.

Glennon needs to visit wilson this summer and get a crash course on how to prepare in the nfl, and he'll be better than fucking Rex grossman.

best thing for glennon now is for TB to draft a QB at #7 and trade him.

Well I mean when the new head coach immediately signs a career backup 35 year old qb and then announces that he is the starter, I don't think Glennon has much of a shot.

Read something (profootballtalk?) that they're probably going to draft one too. I mean, he was pretty solid for a first year qb, I don't see what the big deal is, but.. Doesn't look very good

If I thought Lovie would actually have a "competition" for the starting spot, I have no doubt Glennon could beat out McCown(product of a great offense in Chicago). But Lovie made it clear, this isn't a competition, McCown will start on day 1.

Bringing in McCown, and then claiming that it'll help Glennon to learn from a "vet" and then also drafting a QB to groom behind McCown...doesn't really compute. Personally hoping a QB-needy team will take him instead of drafting a QB.

Ideal situation:
Browns trade for Glennon(probably take like a 3rd-4th rounder).
Browns first pick they take Sammy Watkins.
Browns second first round pick they take the best OT on the board.

Giving Glennon options of Josh Gordon, Sammy Watkins, and Jordan Cameron.

I also heard that they plan on drafting a QB. Craziness. Hopefully Glennon will get out of there and on a team that will give him a shot.

^^do the browns need a right tackle that bad? cause they probably already have the best left tackle in the league

As late as their pick is, not likely that they'll get one of the top 5-6 OTs, so whoever they get will end up would probably be better starting at RT to start anyways. But could go OG or defense, was just trying to help Glennon stay upright as much as possible, haha.

Outside of QB play, the Browns really weren't that bad last season. If Glennon can improve off last year, he'll definitely outshine the Brown's QB play of late (Campbell, Weeden, and Hoyer).

the Browns need a RB in the draft. I wouldn't be upset if they drafted Sammy Watkins and Carlos Hyde with their two first round picks. As long as they dont draft Johnny Football I'll be happy.

And a little QB competition between Glennon and Hoyer would be great. Hoyer is a Cleveland kid though, so he'll have the fans behind him

^Yeah, but not everyone can return from a torn ACL and still be competitive. AP is an exception to the rule.

Nothing and I mean NOTHING is ideal about playing in Cleveland. Career suicide is what playing in Cleveland is.
