Saw the demo playing at Target, looks really interesting. Its in the vein of Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain as far as I can tell, i.e. more of an "interactive movie" than a "video game."

Actually, my comparison is more appropriate than I realized, because David Cage wrote all three.

While watching the demo, my girlfriend and I noticed how much the girl looks like Ellen Page, turns out it is her, in Mo-Cap, and William Dafoe is also in the game.

If I didn't see it at Target, I would still never have heard of this game. Is it on anyone else's radar?

It was at E3 last year. It looks cool, especially with the supernatural elements. I enjoyed Heavy Rain, but it was really mundane at times.

I skipped Heavy Rain, but I really enjoyed most of Indigo Prophecy, although I hadn't touched it or, until recently, even thought about it in years.

I am excited to see what gets said about this one as we get closer to its release.

I may get this. I saw best buy is doing a deal where you can get this game for $10 if you buy the wireless sony headset. I was thinking about getting that headset anyways.

The demo was fairly enjoyable. Controlling Aiden felt somewhat clunky, though. I guess I'll see how the reviews are.

Meh, I'm in it for the story more than anything.

I wish there were a feature that would just play the story with your choices after you've beaten it so you can sit back on your ass and watch it like a movie.

My husband played the demo this weekend. Definitely looks like something I wouldn't mind watching him play but it is not the kind of game I enjoy playing. It's like choose your own adventure in video format.

That is true.

This game has had quite a campaign behind it though. I hate IGN. I'm just saying they usually give games with this much market penetration a 9 or 10. I liked Heavy Rain but I'm tired of games trying to be movies. As far as I'm concerned, The Walking Dead game was the only one to get it somewhat right. I could see myself playing a game like that every 3 years of so.

I'm what is politely called a "patient gamer" so I avoid a lot of that. And I've never paid more than $20 for any game. Usually much less. I haven't played any FF since FFX (excluding about 30 min of X-2 at a friends house, and Ring of Fates for the DS.)

I've only started Ring of Fates this week. and it annoys me that I control one member at a time. Is that how 12 & 13 are? you "get" to switch between party members? FF8 has always been my fave, closely followed by FF8, then FF7 and FFX.
