Had an accident earlier this year . Single car, my fault. Totalled like 5 grand.

Allstate wants to increase my rates from 450 to a little over 1k per 6 months. They said it was the accident plus some 5 years of no accidents discount and there's no accident forgiveness in this state. Is this a normal bump? Have you all had experience with anyone else?

Progressive puts me around 650, 500 deductible, 30k/60k/25k liability for person/accident/property.

Least annoying website I found so far that doesn't want me to get called by a sales rep.

Edit: Huh and with 3 SDIP points (on the contract). I saw some flier that said companies charge +60% for 3 SDIP points. Still seems reasonable.

Interesting, I went from Amica to Geico and saved about 48%, no accidents in last 5 years, same coverage.

+1 for Amica - they rock. They were cheaper than Geico - but not by much
