Because why reuse season 2's thread?

After season 2 I seriously thought about quitting the show altogether. But I've been giving season 3 a chance and it's really drawn me in. I've been quite captivated so far after the first 3 episodes.

I gave it a chance to see why they even bothered to bring it back. Season 1 was okay and season 2 was awful, but the first 2 or 3 episodes of this season have been pretty solid.

Wait.... wasn't this crap canceled???? Season 1 started pretty well, and I felt strangely compelled to watch this show to its end. I remember being happy when it was canceled. Guess I have more to watch.

Watched season 1 - had zero interest in watching season 2 and read the wiki on it. Glad I didnt bother. Wife did watch season 2 and had lost all interest in the show as well.

AHA, I'm a compulsive watcher, too, Turnip. It usually takes a show like four really bad episodes in a row for me to finally cut it off.

However, this season has been really good so far so I recommend it. I'm typically very fatigued by plots that focus on children/sex crimes and whatnot, but this show is definitely dark enough to pull it off. It's just straight gritty and depressing. And Linden/Holder are still very compelling to watch.

all the characters that made the first two seasons shitty are gone - the mayor, the larsens, linden's son. definitely the best of the three seasons.

the way they did the trunk scene was so fucking dope

especially considering that i didnt connect the necklace with bullet immediately

so im thinking "what the hell is there a bomb or chemicals in the trunk or something??"

and then i think it was when Linden said "come over here Holder" and that look on her face...i said out loud "oh holy shiiiiit noo..." and my GF goes "omg bullet is in the trunk"

that crushed me man like for real. and then when he tried to kiss Linden and then broke down afterwards...with Linden repeating stonefaced "everything will be ok" love this show!!!

^Yeah I was a little slow on that too, I thought it would be bombs or something but that didn't make sense. Then when I got it I was all 'nooooooooooooo'

I thought the scene where she questioned the kid was so super intense and stressful...and all she was doing was asking a kid questions

This season is awesome.

Agreed, I really liked the way it ended. However, how is she gonna explain shooting an unarmed Skinner twice at point blank range?

Just finished season 3 and it was great. Glad to see the show finally lived up to its potential before it was cancelled. Somewhat implausible ending, but it's ok. Good TV. We can be friends again, The Killing.

BTW, Holder is gonna be Robocop
