I can't find the ones but all I have to say is

4) I don't believe Kojima that he's the 3rd person. I think its Frank Jaeger.

I saw this and instantly went on the edge. MGS has been some of the best video games I've played.

I saw an article yesterday that Kojima wants to re-do the original MGS with the Fox Engine.

I was hoping they would want to do the same for the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, but for the PS3 format.

I can't wait to see where this will go.

I have the one on the PS3 but only got to a spot near the very beginning and quit playing. It was a spot early in the game when you are in a complex that reminds me of an apartment building and these guys in green suits attack all at once.

wow... open world MGS with insane graphics? yes plz. I hated MGS4 only because we didn't get to play the awesome awesome gameplay for very long compared to the crazy amount of in game cinematics. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out on the development of this console game.

2 is fun, 3 is a blast, 4 is cool but way too many cinematics, 5 looks to be crazy good.

if you're going to play 2 and 3, get the substance/subsistence versions. they include some great extras (skateboarding as solid snake)

There's a lot of conspiracy surrounding this new one... And a lot of "Hayting" I should say. It's just not typical for the Japanese to do a lot of marketing like this, so it's way out there and pretty bizarre. And the more people call this out, the more I feel like I'm being pitched and primed for a sale.

Still though, the epic fight between Solid Snake and Big Boss can only be revealed in 8-bit goodness... It's just not good enough anymore. Please update the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Even if it's the last game they make...

Oh.. and didn't they say that MGSiV was going to be the conclusion to the series? I'm so confused on that one... It reminds me of when they said that Jet Li's final film was going to be "Fearless" and that he would be doing no more films after that one... only to find that he's even busier than he's ever been in his later years.

I've never played a metal gear solid game before. I've watched a friend "play" once, and I put that in quotation marks because the time I watched him play he actually played about 15 minutes then we watched an hour long cutscene that made zero sense.


But this one looks good. I'm definitely going to buy a game on September 1, and it's either going to be this or Mad Max depending on how that game's reviews look.

I've been watching the recaps on youtube and I think you are right. That is the only one that actually makes some sense. I didn't know the PSP game put the personality of The Boss into a Metal Gear. Kojima loves putting people's personalities into computers as a plot device.

Been a fan since msg on ps1. Played them all, even bought a gamecube to play the remastered version way back when. I too was disappointed with ground zeroes but i think that was a cash grab by konami, and a way to get the fans salivating. can't wait. already set ps4 to download at release.

ps4 is 1080p 60. xbone is 960p upscaled. kojima is the best game producer/director of all time. getting collectors edition on ps4 and will probably play on pc

It's a pretty dated engine all things considered. Looks great in motion but if you focus on any particular piece of the scene it's unimpressive. The good news is my 6 year old CPU + 2 year old GPU has no issues with it.

^ I bought for steam and immediately regretted it after trying Ground Zeroes, honestly the graphics hardly look any different between PC and Xbox 360. Once you look past all the lense flares and particle effects it is pretty bland. May be better for an Xbone purchase, give that paperweight something to play.

I'd say its still worth getting for the PC, if you have any kind of modern rig you can do 1440p or better at 60 FPS (or use DSR), which will look demonstrably better than the console version. It has great controller support too, played with my DS4 all morning.

Been fun so far. I'm not that good at the stealth in this game yet but I think I'm learning. I always seem to get caught during extraction.
