and the air filter is dripping with oil

what happened and can i (someone who knows just enough to be dangerous) fix it...i have only a small patch of grass left to mow!

I've had that happen before. It bent the crank; engine was junk.

^^ i wouldn't be surprised...would have been nice if i could have at least finished the yard

not worth fixing it. they're $100 and less on craigslist

you probably bent the spindle/shaft and put a lot of strain on the motor which may have killed it.

I once hit a root with an old Murray riding mower we had and locked up the engine
