^^ I think the $19.99 was a two day deal. At least I couldn't find it anywhere (have Prime), but yesterday they were only $24 at best buy so that's what I did

Nothing seemed unusual about it the first time I set it up. It just opens up a browser with a button in the middle that wants you to select a file. It's taken chromecast to the next level for me.

I just use Plex for that. Works great.

I have used Videostream a few times for the *ahem* files I don't want to show up in Plex lest other folks see them.

So, I received a Chromecast for Christmas, and I am curious as to what I can do with it. I have a PS3 that we use for Netflix/Hulu, so what spiffy thing will I be able to do with this?

chromecast has an app store

That's probably your best place to start in terms of understanding what you can do with it. I personally use it for watchespn and downloaded content mostly
