A lying criminal? Who saw that coming.

That said, I wouldn't give enough of a fuck to chase people into the alley. If they leave my property, I'm done.

Quote :
"TIMBERLAKE, N.C. — A homeowner shot and killed a masked man early Sunday who had broken into the Timberlake home, aimed a shotgun and demanded money, authorities said.

Person County Sheriff Dewey Jones said the homeowner, whom he did not name, discovered Jonathan Ellias Ziminack, 25, in the bedroom at about 5 a.m. wearing a mask “like a hoodie (but) only his eyes were showing.”

The homeowner pulled a pistol from beside his bed and fired one shot at Ziminack, Jones said. The bullet hit the shotgun before striking Ziminack in the stomach, Jones said.

Ziminack was transported by medical helicopter to Duke University Medical Center where he died on the way to surgery, Jones said.

After the shooting, deputies stopped Ziminack's girlfriend, Cody Alicia Bowling, 20, driving the would-be getaway car in the area, Jones said. She was being held Monday in the Person County jail under a $75,000 bond for conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary.

Jones said authorities are considering charging Bowling with first-degree burglary and attempted armed robbery.

Man, scoring the bank shot off the gun of a dude who breaks in and surprises you in the middle of the night? That's some bad-ass, ninja level prevailing!

I mean, it's always ultimately a sad story for someone's life to go so horribly wrong that he's breaking into houses for drug money and gets smoked, but at the same time, nice shooting. Not the happy feelgood way of fixing the glitch, but a glitch fixed nonetheless.

Ziminiak posted "I'm out let's get back to it" on 9/2, if he meant out from Jail obviously he did not learn anything from it, he was robbing a house less than a week later....

His GF (who was locked up for involvement in the incident) posted "to love a person is to learn the song that is n their heart, and to sing it to them when they have forgotten! <3 Johnathan Partbeast Ziminack"

I have also decided that the intruder (who did not prevail) looks more like a dealer than a junkie based on his profile pics and comments.

Quote :
"LUMBERTON, NC - A grandfather shot back and is believed to have killed a suspect in a home-invasion and attempted rape of his teen granddaughter on Monday night, Robeson County Sheriff's officials said.

The grandfather was also shot – but he also managed to shoot the 2 other suspects in the home-invasion and attempted rape, said Maj. Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

The incident started around 10 pm at a house on Yedda Road in Lumberton on Monday night when someone knocked on the home of the grandfather, his wife and their 19-year-old granddaughter, according to the sheriff's office.

Two of three men – all wearing black clothes, ski masks and gloves -- stormed into the house and demanded money, officials said.

The grandfather and his wife ended up in the back of the house and were directed at gunpoint to open a safe. The three men were all armed and tried to rape the teen girl, officials said.

The 67-year-old grandfather managed to grab a gun and shot all three of the suspects. The suspects fired back and the grandfather was hit several times, deputies said.

After that, all three wounded suspects fled in the grandfather's gold Cadillac."

Edited out, maybe shouldn't post my close encounters for legal sake.

My wife sat in the car with the weapon, we separated the mag. I stayed outside of the car untill the police arrived and on the phone. When they arrived I told them about the weapon in the glove box, handed them my card and license. They asked my wife to step out of the car and we talked from there on out.

All you have to do is be upfront, "there is a pistol in the glovebox, here are my credentials". And they simply asked my wife to step out so the gun was isolated. They knew we are not the problem.

Gotcha.

I've never personally/singly been in a scenario to declare a firearm (concealed or in the open) to an LEO; many times noted that I had a CCP but no firearm in the vehicle.

However, I once was riding back from the beach with a group of friends when we were pulled because one of his tires was low. The driver declared his concealed handgun that was in the glove box, and the first words out of the cops mouth were basically 'you're not supposed to have that' before my friend could provide his CCP and ID.

I've been pulled over a few times while I was carrying. As soon as they got to the window the first thing I tell 'em is "I have a CCP and I'm armed. Pistol is $currentModelBeingCarried and it located $Location."

Pretty much they say thanks and ask for my info. I tell 'em its in my wallet and they tell me to get it slowly. Never really had a problem, even with the pistol on my hip. But normally I roll with my wallet on the dash console instead of my back pocket, so I'm not even reaching in the area of the pistol.

Its a good thing I'm a white male otherwise they probably would've killed me by now.

Guys, the 13-year-old had access to a gun that he had never been trained to use. The two would-be burglars thought the house was unoccupied, and he started shooting before they got in the house and as they were fleeing.

I don't think this kid is super pumped he killed a guy.

Sure it would have been tragic if he had shot the cable guy or some fool knocking on the wrong door...but he shot some dude that was breaking in to rob him and probably beat the shit out of him or worse.

The only tragedy here is he only got one of them.

I dunno about tragic, but I think it's pretty sad a 13 year-old has access to a gun that he's never been taught how to use, especially the kind of 13 year-old who's home alone a lot and goes to school online.

"Deputy: Gator killed man in community hit by burglaries
PALM BAY, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man who may have hidden as officers investigated reports of two suspicious men in a Florida community targeted by recent burglaries was killed by an 11-foot alligator.

Brevard County Sheriff's Maj. Tod Goodyear says 22-year-old Matthew Riggins told his girlfriend he would be in Barefoot Bay to commit burglaries with another suspect. Authorities received calls Nov. 13 about two suspicious men in black walking behind homes and investigated. Riggins was reported missing the next day.

Goodyear said sheriff's divers recovered Riggins' body 10 days later in a nearby lake and the injuries were consistent with an alligator attack. Authorities said Riggins had drowned and the alligator, which behaved aggressively toward divers, was trapped and euthanized.

Florida Today (http://tinyurl.com/zlbq34z ) reports a second person has been taken into custody.

"A Mississippi woman whose family was being held hostage by an escaped prisoner shot him Thursday before her husband joined in the shooting that ended with the intruder’s death, authorities said.

Officials say Rafael McCloud had escaped from jail last week after overpowering a guard with a makeshift knife. Police had warned residents that they believed he was still in the Vicksburg area as a multiple-agency manhunt came up empty.

McCloud was facing rape and murder charges in connection to the death of a 69-year-old woman, officials said.

At about 4 a.m. Thursday, less than a mile from the jail, police say McCloud forced his way into the house after he encountered the husband and his 5-year-old son as they headed to the garage.

The husband told police the man forced them back inside, tied him up, stabbed him in the shoulder and held him, his wife and son hostage in a bathroom.

Hours later, the wife managed to escape the bathroom, before coming back with a gun and shooting McCloud, officials said.

She freed her husband who then fired more shots, killing McCloud, officials said.

The husband was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said, and his wife and son were not harmed.

Police said they do not believe there was any previous connection between McCloud and the family."
