Juve is taking Lazio behind the woodshed in the Copa Italia right now.

I forgot Tevez went to them.

Just finished watching the match. No need to paper over those cracks now Wenger!

Some LOL broadcasting from Fox. At one point we had French commentary, then Schalke-PAOK commentary.

You're doing it wrong

Quote :
"Arsene Wenger confirmed this evening that Arsenal’s pursuit of Luis Suarez is over despite his side looking nailed on to qualify for the Champions League proper following their 3-0 away win against Fenerbahce.

Speaking after the game the boss was quizzed on his next move for the Liverpool striker only to make clear a move for the Uruguayan was a no go.

“Absolutely no chance of that,” he clarified.

Looking ahead to a potentially busy couple of weeks in the transfer window – and with reports of interest in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema surfacing - Wenger did make clear that he is now ready to start adding to his squad.

“It is like a poker game. People hold their cards as long as possible and see what is happening out there. In the end, they go for decisions.

“First everybody goes on holiday and nobody wants to do anything. Then in many clubs there are manager changes. They need to know the squad before they make a decision. Many, many things but it is always like that.

“You have to understand there is still a long way to go. The transfer market starts for me now and a lot of activity will happen between now and September 2. From August 21 until September 2 you have 12 days, so a lot will happen. It starts now.”"

PAOK-Schalke is behind closed doors, but I hear chanting. I guess UEFA closed doors rule allows for away fans to travel if the punishment is solely for the home team.

CL draw going on now. Dortmund in Pot 3 is dumb. Napoli/Sociedad/Celtic ones to avoid in 4. United will get Schalke, Zenit, and Viktoria Plzen.

Quote :
"Pot 1:

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Porto, Benfica

Pot 2:

Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Milan, Schalke, Marseilles, CSKA Moscow, PSG, Juventus

Pot 3

Zenit St Petersburg, Manchester City, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Basel/Basle/Baaaaarl, Olympiacos, Galatasaray, Bayer Leverkusen

Pot 4:

Copenhagen, Napoli, Anderlecht, Steaua Bucharest, Viktoria Plzen, Real Sociedad, FK Austria Vienna, Celtic"

Dwight Yorke is not impressed with one Champions League title, he requires multiple titles to be impressed. I've also recently learned that another way to impress him is by having courage and dignity.

Not sure if this belongs here but England is in a dicey qualification home stretch.

If they lose today at Ukraine they are third in group with games against Poland and Montenegro left. Granted both are at home but they are no Moldova. Could get very interesting.

Real Madrid won 6-1, not 5-1. Doesn't matter much, just correcting.

They were insane in the last 40 minutes.

I was debating mentioning Sturridge but Ramsey has been terrific playing two ways. Sturridge will continue scoring though and Ramsey won't... Least not at this pace.
